Attendance.

20 min - Personal Novel Silent Read 20 min

15 min - Journal Reflection - Journals in a bin - under the front of the room table. 

Students - complete a full paragraph - 5 sentences minimum - Choose 1 of the following options! 

  • “A hero is someone who…”

  • “I think Maddie (In our new novel Alone) will become a hero by…”

  • “One challenge that I’ve faced that taught me something was…”


Laptops - Cart 3 - EA can pick up - 

Students to be given remainder of class - to work to complete their Teams Assignment > Personal Novel Read Assignment. This is the 2nd to last class time they will be provided! 

Reminders Students - 

  • Make sure you update your syllabus sections on this assignment - review the new sample I have added to the assignment instructions area on teams.
  • If you are done your assignment make sure you click on the 'TURN IN' button on Teams! 
  • EDIT EDIT EDIT!! There should be proper grammar including punctuation and FULL SENTENCES in your assignment.

Oct 28th 2025 TTOC Notes Grammar Workbooks & Short Story & Poetry Test Kahoot Review Reminder

Attendance Note: Oct 28th with TTOC - Ms. Hathorn assisting with senior careers.  1. Lesson Summary: Oct 28th - Silent Read Personal Novels 20 min   2. Hand Out Grammar Workbooks - all booklets will be at the front of the room labelled FYI. Most students should already have their books with their names clearly at the top - please hand out again. Students to work on these SOLO! For the remainder of the block. Stack all chairs end of block. Note: Girls who were at volleyball will need new booklets - they were not here Oct 27th. Please review side board for sections NOT TO DO. Please ensure girls write their names at the top of their booklets.
